The service was excellent & food was tasty, fresh & reasonably priced. I would suggest serving bean& rice w/ taco dinners. Also recommend flan, coffee & tea for after dinner.
I have been to Margarita's a couple of times since they opened. I wasn't expecting to like it because I've never been a fan of Mexican food, but their food is absolutely amazing. I'm in love with the street corn, it's my favorite dish. The staff is always pleasant and accommodating. Of course, the Margarita's are amazing too! I definitely recommend this place, especially if you love Mexican. Delish!
My wife made a reservation to take me out to eat for my birthday after work, our first time eating here since The Mex closed. We were seated on the new outside deck on this 61 degree Fall evening. We wore jackets so while we were chilly we were comfortable enough.
I ordered coffee thinking it would be a nice warming beverage on this cool evening. I was told they do not offer coffee. We had water.
The complimentary chips and salsa were good.
The meals we ordered were tasty with significant portions.
The waitress who took our payment and brought back our change shorted us 76 cents. We still tipped well in spite of this.
All in all we enjoyed our meals ok but both of us agreed that we preferred the food and service that we had enjoyed for nearly 30 years at The Mex for anniversaries, extended family and work gatherings, etc. We may certainly return but miss the service, food options and memories from The Mex.
We are from Texas and set a high bar when it comes to judging Mexican food. We walked in 10 minutes after they opened and were seated right away even though we did not have reservations. The chips and salsa were great. We shared the fajita combo chicken and beef. They both tasted great but the beef was a little tough. It may have helped if it had been sliced thinner. There was plenty of food for both of us. We did not try the margaritas. Overall, it was very good and we would definitely return!
