They're very nice and very good sub makers.

Subways are usually nice. This one is always clean. The food appears to be fresh and the sandwich maker was very polite and pleasant.

I wouldn't recommend trying to work here unless you're a preppy girl or you can keep your mouth shut when being mistreated by another employee during your training. I worked there for a month and kept my mouth shut when the person in charge of training me continued to talk down to me, throw hissyfits and completely disrespect me for no reason other than she had to do her job. Personally, I like working. I just moved to Maine and I needed an opportunity to get out of the house and away from my parents. It seemed nice working there at first. I had worked in the food industry before and most of the required work was familiar. A few slip ups here and there involving wrong placement of a bread knife and putting tomatoes away the wrong way. Normally when I mess up I like to use it as a lesson so I do it right the next time. When being given my termination papers, I was informed by the manager that I had "multiple complaints" from other employees. I found this to be amusing considering I worked with one older woman who I got along with and two other people who seemed fine with my presence. Not to mention my friend who worked there as well (But at different hours) told me she had quit because the same person in training was so disrespectful to her she would end up crying in the bathroom. This completely irritates me. I needed this job. Gardiner, Maine is not an easy place to get a job. It has more people than it does stores. So when I was fired because I attempted telling my MANAGER about the complete disrespectful behavior her trusted trainer was acting, I was not only shocked, but I was also amused. Obviously the people running this store pick favorites.

Overall, this subway was very clean. The food was fresh and the customers I met while working there were nice. My father was in the military during my upbringing so getting to meet a lot of retired military people was nice. If you can learn to keep your mouth shut and let people walk all over you then I would recommend working there. Although when the disrespect is consistent I gotta say it can be very hard keeping your mouth shut. One should not have customers food shoved at them, doors slammed, being talked down to and being talked about horribly to the customers because the person training cant keep herself together. This company is missing out on good employees due to this incident. I like to work until I'm required to clock out. That's how I work and its shown other companies my dedication to the job. Thanks for reading! :)

There is one employee there that I sadly cant stand because he is so slow, I wont put his name though. Tray or Trey im not sure how he spells it is fast paced and always makes the sandwiches perfectly and is so kind and friendly. They need to have more bread and wrap options at night also cookies.
