We just had such a lovely experience at this inn. The owners, Greg and Lauren, were so very welcoming and the inn has really incredible views. They have building with pet friendly rooms, and our dog Jack loved it. There's a beautiful beach and we saw seals right off shore. The Inn has a great restaurant with a diverse menu that had lots of options for all diets. The owners are very hard working and we saw them at every meal. They recommended a nearby climbing area at Camden Hills and we had a great day out there in the woods! We are very glad we made the trip up. You should too!
If you love a great breakfast or dinner with magical water views, this is the place. Owners are warm and hospitable. Highly recommended.
I came to dinner and I was pleasantly surprised at the amount of vegan options! The vegan “crab” cakes and the curried tofu was fantastic and I was very impressed. The staff was very accommodating and answered all the questions we had about the menu.
The new owners of the Craignair Inn and Restaurant, Greg and Lauren, warmly welcomed us to their dining room this evening. Our meals were masterfully prepared by chef James Dorian, who literally just joined the Craignair yesterday, bringing a lifetime of experience and a love of good food with him. My husband and I had dined at the Craignair in the past, but this was a whole new experience. The food was seasoned perfectly and presented like works of art. Impressive — and delicious! And Mr. Dorian was even kind enough to come out to meet with us so we could offer him our compliments after we finished our meals. I highly recommend the Craignair for anyone looking for a fine dining experience in Midcoast Maine. It may be a little out of the way, but it's so worth the trip! And with stunning views of Clark Island and the Atlantic Ocean right out the dining room windows, it couldn't be better.
I stayed here for a training weekend and had an wonderful time checking out the local highlights and relaxing at the Inn. The atmosphere was quaint, comfortable, and very inviting. The food was freshly prepared and delicious. I was blown away with the extent of the Vegan selections, too! I stayed in a room with a shared bathroom and was impressed with how close it was and the cleanliness of it! The Inn keepers were welcoming and had wonderful local suggestion as well. I look forward to staying here again!
