Funky Red Barn

After 15 years of providing the Bethel area with nightlife, good drinks/food, friendly service, excellent prime rib and haddock dinners, and a place for friends to come together for dancing, pool, darts, and a space highly decorated to match the different lifestyles and hobbies of it's patrons we are sad to see the Funky close, but very happy for the owner to move on to his next adventure. Wishing best of luck to the new owners, and hoping they continue providing the area a place for late night fun.

The folks are retiring and turning it over to new owners. Thanks for the 20+ years of good times and good food. The Thursday Nite Pre Rib was historical.

Couldn't get into a 'fancier' place on a busy night, so tried Funky, based on their good reviews. I wasn't too hopeful; I kept expecting to see Patrick Swayze coming out swinging. And, being vegetarian, it's a short menu mostly w Road House standards, but, there it was, one veggie item! They made it sound like they meant it tho, so gave it a try. It really was one of the best I've had, and it sounded so good, my non-veg friends even got them. The service was wonderful, and the chef even came out to check on us and make sure we were happy! Great potato wedge fries, and really good linguine too with freshly made sauce. Will definitely go back. Double Deuce aside, the decor is fun and funky. Not sure I'll head back for the dancing, but it makes me happy that it's there.

Best prime rib I’ve ever had. Super cheap prices. Best service. Boom.

Also yeah don’t go to Matterhorn that place stinks on ice.

Truly a gem in Bethel! Great drinks & pricing is affordable. Owners and staff are very kind and helpful. DJ is usually pretty good. Sometimes there are some strange locals that enter but you do get used to it!
