What a delight! It has been so long since I've been to a restaurant that makes me feel like it was worth dressing up. From the white tablecloths, to the beautiful well-lit dining rooms with the beautiful views of their grounds, from the moment you walk in and hear the piano playing softly in the background, everything about the GraceNote makes you feel special. They have spacious luxury suites & spa services, and farm to table food. Their butter, ice cream and baked goods are made in-house, and the greens, herbs and many of the vegetables come from their raised bed gardens & glass-roofed greenhouse. After we ordered, they brought us a loaf of warm brioche bread with house-made whipped and berry butters. We then started with the Caesar salad & Tuna tartare, both perfectly dressed. I moved on to the Mushroom ravioli in brown butter which was surprisingly flavorful and deliciously perfumed with sage. Served with a side salad of tender baby lettuce, it was substantial, filling, comforting and unexpectedly light, despite the VERY generous portion. My husband had the flat iron steak over perfectly cooked polenta and roasted baby carrots. So satisfying & delicious. Finally we rounded things out with a Baked Alaska. We both loved the old-school treat made with house-made vanilla ice cream (chocolate is also an option), a delicate lemon cake and a sweet toasted meringue. Whether you want a place to celebrate a special occasion, have a DIY retreat with friends, or just a date-night to look forward to, the GraceNote hits all the right notes
The GraceNote Inn & Spa is anything but ordinary!
It is one of the best hotels I’ve ever been privileged to stay at. Gorgeous property, and it only gets more breathtaking when you walk in. Brenda and her husband, Carl, obviously refurbished the property properly while maintaining its charm. The Inn boasts high-quality, clean rooms and hospitable and extremely accommodating staff. I highly recommend the GraceNote Inn & Spa to anyone visiting Maine.
I am already planning my next visit!
My family of eight had a cooking class in the dining room at GraceNote with the chef. We drank wine and ate what we cooked. We had a great time kneading bread and learning some new cooking techniques. Brenda and team were wonderful. What a great & memorable night.
We stayed at the Gracenote for a ski weekend at Sunday River and we will definitely be returning. From the moment Brenda greeted us with Joey at the door to when she handed us a packed breakfast for our ski day ahead, everything about our stay was wonderful. The room was beautiful and we loved the heated floors, fireplace and towel warmer. There was so much care and effort put in to every small detail, and we can’t wait to come again!
I had a very nice experience staying in this gorgeous house!!! My room was fantastic and had everything I wanted in a place for my vacation (bath, fireplace, and close to Sunday River!). It definitely, has to be the nicest place in town. I'm excited to see what else they end up doing here in the future. An open and welcoming place also LGBT+ friendly.
