Like every other Five Guys locations I've ever tried, this one in Bangor can be relied on to provide one of the best burgers with a long list of free and extra charge fixings, and generous portions of excellent fries at a very reasonable price. And always fun to crack the free peanuts, thoughtfully provided with a small carrying tray to easily get them to your table. At the original location in Arlington, Virginia where it all started (and I was lucky enough to live pretty close by) there were no tables to take your peanuts to -- just lots of room to stand in front of the counter, dropping peanut shells on the floor as you stood waiting for your name to be called.
I'd you're craving a burger, look no more. This place would win the burger battle in our little city. I have yet to have a burger as good anywhere else. 9/10 they fill your bag with fresh fries making your fat boy fingers wiggle with excitement. Simple. Executed. Delicious. If you want a Burger in Bangor, Maine don't go anywhere else.
Burgers were delicious and the staff was very nice. The Cajun style fries were tasty if you like a little spice, but if not the 5 guys style fries (just salted but that's a bit of an understatement) were just as good. The place was clean, but wouldn't recommend it for anyone who doesn't like peanuts, allergy or otherwise
Awesome as always. Staff are always helpful and upbeat. Food is always superb. Other than the music being way too loud, I have never had a poor experience from Maine to Ohio.
Five Guys consistently makes really good burgers and fries. They are one of the few places we can safely get a gluten free meal in the area. They always ask if the "no bun" is allergy or preference. We've had no trouble with cross contamination. Also, I love the shakes.
