Smoke and Steel

Visited Smoke & Steel last night with a large party for axe throwing and dinner - this place is great! Staff was very friendly and helpful and our server was amazing! Axe throwing was not something I ever thought I would get into, but I can't wait to get back there again! Great place to get BBQ, too! Thanks to the hard working staff for a fun night!

WHAT A BRILLIANT CONCEPT!!! A barbecue joint with drinking AND ax throwing! How is it possible no one thought of this before?!? Last night I had the tomahawk steak. It took an hour and a half to cook and it was cooked to absolute perfection. Since I had the steak last night, I had to come back tonight to get the ribs. I was not disappointed! Tender, juicy and just enough smokey flavor to take it to the next level. I strongly recommend the Texas barbecue sauce. Enough heat to let you know it's there but not so much that you can't taste the food. A perfect balance. I'm not sure if I've ever seen such a happy staff. I was fortunate enough to meet Greg, the owner. He and I talked for about an hour and he took the entire experience from good to great. Nothing I love better than finding a great local place with a spectacular concept and even better food.

Interesting. I was there for lunch, so no axe throwing. BBQ pretty good. I liked the Kansas City sauce on my hamburger. I'm excited to come back with my bro in law who's an "expert" at everything and watch him shred the throwing cage.

Fun concept and a cool date spot.

Suggestion: Smoked potato skins with a choice of meat as another option. I used to get them with burnt ends on top at an old BBQ spot growing up and it was the BEST. Just my two cents, and favorite BBQ food option!

WOW, GO TO SMOKE & STEEL!! It was amazing, when I first got in everyone was so friendly and nice, the owner and manager even came up to me and introduced herself personally (Hi Holly!). I think Smoke & Steel is going to be an amazing addition to our little Bangor community. The food was stellar and there was even AXE THROWING. It might be too early to say but me and my friends might be lifers, what a fun night. I CAN'T WAIT FOR THE LIVE MUSIC!! If you're in the area, 10/10 recommend passing by the place, it's right near Hobby Lobby!!
