Heritage On 9 Restaurant & Tavern

The first time I came here, service was amazing and so was the food. I've been back twice since then and the service is still great but the food want as good.

I also have severe food restrictions do to health problems and the only thing on their menu I could eat was chicken wings for lunch and they refused to let me order a simple breakfast of eggs and bacon. I don't plan to be back if I can help it. Not much else to choose from in the area, so I might.

What a great restaurant; everyone was so friendly! They even accommodated our Lobster Benedict request which wasn’t technically on the menu. I also highly recommend the bananas foster pancakes and the biscuits (which are great dipped in the syrup from the banana foster pancakes ????). Definitely going back any time I’m in the area.

Stopped to have breakfast on Saturday. A large party was arriving, and even though they were very busy, we were seated by the owner and given apologies for having to wait to be seated. The food was very good, especially the homemade corned beef hash. My fruit cup was delicious, made with native berries. The owner showed us the bar area and the outside dining area. I highly recommend this cozy, comfortable dining experience.

Most tender calamari we've had in Maine. Sauce was different, good, and spicy. On the side would have been better, but definitely liked it and would order it again. Portion was a bit small for the price. Mac and cheese was plentiful and tasty... not salty at all! Good drinks as well. Service was a little slow but waitress/bartender had a great personality. We'd go back!
