Kennebec White Water Rafting

Yes to this company! Loved every second of our rafting experience. Ethan was our guide and he was great at managing 8 crazy people in a raft and got us through class 4 rapids unscathed and even brought us through a lovely side river called the Garry Grinder…. Well… that’s what we called it atleast!

The lodging was great too and all the food they served was delicious. 10 stars!!

What a wonderful whitewater rafting experience !! I highly recommend it.
We stayed in the cabins for two nights, had all our weekend meals at Patrick's Pub on site, and did the Ultimate Turbine Test on the Kennebec River. Everything about it was outstanding! All the staff, from the check in people to the restaurant servers to the guides were so friendly and went out of their way to make us feel welcome and appreciated.
Our guide was Gabe, and he was fantastic all day. He trained us well and always told us in advance what to expect. And he assured us that if anyone fell out of the raft into the river, or if the raft flipped, everything would be alright and advised us to remain calm. Well, I fell out! It was an exciting and thrilling experience. I stayed calm, and Gabe very skillfully dragged me back into the raft. Thanks, Gabe! And on we continued!!!
Definitely one of the most fun days of my life !!!!

I love this company, North Country, and can't imagine rafting with anyone else! Our family rafted 3 times this summer and our guide Kyle was awesome! I highly recommend you request him if you're even a little apprehensive as he will do all he can to help you enjoy your time on the river and feel like a pro! All the guides are super friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back next year!

We arrived on a Sunday early evening, in time for dinner so we ate at the pub inside the main lodge. Our server, Zach was very courteous and told us a little about what we could expect during our rafting day, since he was also a rafting tour guide. After dinner we went back to our cabin where we were greeted by another guest who had entered our cabin, not knowing it was ours. It appeared to us that there was a booking error. We both went back to the main lodge where we were assisted by Zach and another tour guide, Ben. They were both very apologetic and called the manager. Long story short, a simple error had been made but was quickly rectified. When we went to fill out our registration forms the next morning, we requested Zach but we were already set up with him. Everyone rafting was greeted by Ben, who kicked off with a few icebreaker jokes before providing details for our day. He kept the crowd involved. Further instructions for what we would encounter were provided at the start of the Kennebec River. Zach asked us if we were adventurous and we said yes so he provided us with an incredible experience. His experience and tenure with North Country Rivers gave us a totally awesome day. Thank you Zach and Ben, and the rest of the staff. We’re definitely heading back next year! I highly recommend either Zach or Ben, as I had the most interaction with them but I don’t see why any other tour guide wouldn’t also provide a great experience!

An AWESOME adventure to add to our family memories! NORTH COUNTRY RIVERS was perfect for our first time experience for our family. Rafting on the Kennebec River, Jim was an amazing guide and incredibly knowledgeable about the river and surrounding area. We truly enjoyed the Maine Outdoors on this trip.
The cabins make for a great stay along with a friendly staff who have stories to share.
