Chipman's Wharf

Even though this place was closed on Sunday (when I visited) the owner Jason saw us walking to the wharf, he opened the doors for us and we were able to buy Lobsters to cook. Very nice guy, very helpful. His young son gave us good tips as to how to cook the lobsters.

Out of the way, check the hours for food service, but a great place to order a steamed lobster (or two…for practice of course). I was looking for somewhere picturesque but not also loaded with people. This place is right on the docks, literally watching people offloading lobsters right now, and also does direct sale of fresh catch. Very friendly staff, which I’m guessing was the opening family. Highly recommended!

Great Food, Service, Views, and Souvenirs! The lobster mac and cheese was AMAZING!!!! Everyone was extremely friendly. The gentleman working in the back with the lobsters was very informative and great in showing us the lobsters and even showed us one that had shed since it had been caught. Also, I loved their selections of souvenirs. We bought almost all of our souvenirs from there. Definitely stop by and check it out!!!!

What a great place to stop for a quick lunch. We had crab cakes and enjoyed them and the view. A working wharf with fresh seafood. We also bought fresh pie /lobster stew/fresh lobster and a few other goodies to take home and they happily packed them in ice for us

Wonderful find! We had both the seafood chowder, and a lobster, haddock, and clam take and bake. They were both delicious, and full of seafood. We also got some fresh haddock at a good price. We highly recommend this place!!!
