The Buxton Common

Great food, and drinks. We split the homemade meat pie app. I had the pulled pork Tacos, because it's Tuesday, and because they're delicious. I also had a rhubarb margarita, are you gonna judge that too? No you aren't, because now you want one too. My wife had the falafel burger which was perfectly seasoned. For the finale we tried the peach blueberry crumble pie which was probably more than we needed, but when the food is this good you have to power through.

Best food in Southern Maine. Innovative menu well executed. Smoked items are all superb.

The restaurant is spotless. The kitchen is open and also very very clean. The staff were very friendly unlike many tourist spots where you can tell the employees are growing tired of people. If you have to wait for a table, wait near the kitchen entrance so you can pick out which dishes look the best to you. Everything we ordered was fantastic. I would have liked a small explanation between the plates and trays items on the menu but I didn't ask also. Cocktails are made properly and not weak. The Moscow mule has a chunk of candied ginger. Nice touch. This restaurant is close enough to home and far enough from the ocean so it's not overrun with crabby vacationers.

Food and service are excellent. I had heard great things, and was not disappointed. Who would have thought I could get top quality BBQ fare at good prices right in Buxton?!
