Browns Clam Shanty

Underwhelming at best. $43 for a kids clam plate (looked the best out of the bunch and includes a drink) a plain burger that didn't even come with fries (just a bag of lays chips for $10) and a sad looking lobster roll that charged an extra dollar for a few fries. Food wasn't terrible, but we were told we couldn't bring our water bottles to the picnic table, ok fine I get it. Charged $2 for a pint of water. Still.. fine. What irritated me was that we couldn't bring our drinks but then was handed an empty kids cup and sat confused at the picnic area. Only to be told we had to go inside to the dining area to fill it. So you want me to pay $43 for a meal, seat ourselves, pay for water and you can't even fill the kids drink cup? Service seemed nice enough. Just overpriced for the value.

Prices were good and food was good. Got couple of burgers and beef sandwich. Burgers were good and beef was great. Had a bowl of clam chowder and it was nice and creamy. Good food at decent prices.

We wanted a quick lunch. It definitely was quick but delicious. I had the Haddock tacos, my wife had the Haddock nuggets & our beautiful dog Coco had the hot dog & some of each of our lunches. She was satisfied. And that is all that matters

Love this Maine restaurant with the freshest seafood. We had the Lobster special sandwich and cup of clam chowder with oyster crackers. The bread was over flowing with lobster.
From the minute we ordered our meal, delivered to our table and the follow up, our service was impeccable. Everyone there was so nice and the restaurant offers seating indoor and outdoors.
Decor selection matches what you expect Maine to represent.
