Their lobster rolls are delicious and their clam chowder is awful. For a lobster pound, their wine selection is very good. Service was polite, friendly, and helpful. The building itself is attractive with a lovely view. Recommended.
Best meal I’ve had in a long time. Had delicious salmon with pesto sauce. Sides were excellent too. Husbands meal was just as good. Excellent chef. Came from Key West, they say.
Stopped in on Fathers Day, busy but not chaotic. Rainy day - perfect for lobster stew and chowder. Bigger inside than we thought, cool older bar, welcoming (20 seats) - great Maine feel to it. Service was great, older funny bartender. Nice experience. Right on the water between York and Cape Neddick. Perfect spot. Looked packed in the dining room, w great water views. Lobster Stew really good, chowder is ok (a lot of seasoning/bacon) ????????????
An old-fashioned Summer Place-type restaurant, CNLP is a collection of rooms that appears to have grown out of the surrounding cove. A "no rush, no problem" world of its own, serving great seafood to locals that wander in from the beach side-by-side with day trippers on their way to the Playhouse. Prices reflect the atmosphere.
No reservations on a Saturday night but they took our party of 7 anyway. Service was a bit slow but they tried their best to keep us happy. Once the food arrived I do believe I had the best lobster I’ve ever eaten. The clams, the oysters, the clam chowder everything was incredible! Great atmosphere, live music, amazing scenery! It’s a fantastic place, Lord willing, I’ll absolutely be back!!
