Long John Silver's

The customer service is always great. The establishment is always clean and the food is always fresh. The Long John Silver's in Lavale MD. Is a great one to visit. I have been going there all my life but the quality and service is the best it's ever been.

Stopped in for the all you can eat fish and chicken, the food was good like you would expect from LJS. Although they did seem to be a bit under staffed for the amount of customers. They have 2 registers but only 1 was open and I didn't see anyone working the floor. When I wanted more chicken or fish I basically had to wait in line again.

My parents, my son, and I were looking forward to having lunch at Long John Silver's. We live in PA and lately, we don't seem to get in that area as often as we like. Our experience in that particular establishment (located in LaVale, MD) was made very disappointing because of the horrible service we received! I don't want to make assumptions (well, I guess I'm going to) but the lady waiting on us looked to be of retirement age and made us feel as if we were inconveniencing her by approaching the counter. No "Hello", "Welcome", or even the usual, "May I help you?" She waited for us to speak and when I asked about a dinner I did not see in the menu board, I was met with an angry, "It's up there on the board". She made taking our order such a difficult and awkward task by treating us as if every dinner requested was confusing to her. Then after specifically asking if I could get a 2 fish, 1 chicken dinner, I was given 4 pieces of chicken. After standing in line several minutes, the young lady, also behind the counter, rectified the situation with a smile, was so pleasantly polite, and thanked us for coming in. I didn't get her name and I wish I had so I could give her the kudos she deserves!! (She was a pretty young lady with black hair and glasses, tall and thin, and looked to be late teens/early twenties). If a person does not like dealing with people or dislikes social situations, then it's only logical to say that public service is NOT the job for that person. Not only was our lunch basically ruined (because all we discussed was the horrible service we received) but I had to get my dinner to go because after taking my incorrect dinner back, I had to get it to go because my family had finished their meals.

Food was a little old. Clams were fresh because they were ordered as a side. Fish and shrimp had been sitting under the heat lamp a little too long, edible but not by much...usually the food is better though.

I have been craving Long John's for 2 years. I recently got to stop in alone and ordered a heap of stuff. I enjoyed the fish and chicken and some shrimp. The sides are really funny small. Tasty, but I was gorging and craved a pint. Hush puppies were good with tartar sauce, and it was exactly what I had expected. It's commercialized fast-food seafood. Long John Silver's is wonderful, and part of my childhood. LJS is consistent with their product and is the only convenient seafood for me. I ring that bell with authority, in My way out.
