We had a very good meal at urban BBQ. I got the pork tacos with the urban BBQ toppings. Not really a taco, but very good, the pork was tasty and the other toppings were yummy. My wife got ribs and mashed potatoes. The ribs were amazing and the mashed potatoes and gravy was almost as good as my grandmom's, which is high praise indeed. I actually came for the wings, but we will be back to try them another day.

Had a great dinner. The brisket was excellent. Good coleslaw and the burnt ends baked beans were very good. Nice place / good music. Quick service.

Giving a relative 4 stars. It's hard to find good BBQ in Maryland, and while I hesitate to call Urban good, it's generally tasty and good for the area. For basics, pass on the brisket and go for the sausage or the ribs. Greens are good, and I like the beans. Urban does some interesting non-traditional mixes as well. The Urban soul rolls, a large egg roll wrapper stuffed with meat, onion, and cheese, is popular, and I like the Urban Legend - Frito chili pie with sausage and brisket added. The brisket works here, where it isn't the star.

We ordered a BBQ sandwich and a salad. The pulled pork BBQ sandwich with what they call "urban style" was absolutely fantastic. The meat wasn't dry and the sauce had a good flavor. (Sometimes dry meat and little to no flavor is a problem with BBQ places)
The salad was the Texas Steakhouse salad. It was loaded with a bunch of toppings and the brisket that came with it was also very good. Neither of us are a fan of croutons but we agree that they do it right here by replacing those with fries.
Overall the all of the food was really good and the service was fast. The only detracting factor is the price. It was slightly more expensive than I think it should be but I don't think it was too over priced.

The food here is alright. I came for the tacos once before on a special and they were enjoyable. The sandwiches are a bit dry if you don't get the additional toppings. The sauce options definitely improve it, but overall the food is a little bland on its own for my tastes and the price. Good option for playing it safe though!
