Cantler's Riverside Inn

I love this place! It is one of the best Maryland experiences you can have! You can sit by the water (under shade) eating fresh caught blue crabs. They come to you freshly steamed and seasoned with old bay! A summer staple! Order french fries and take good company so you can enjoy cracking and eating delicious crabs!

This is where we bring people who visit us to want to eat crabs. It's a family atmosphere with a great bar. Even the non-crab food on the menu is delicious.

Great crab restaurant with lots of feel-good food from appetizers to surf and turf. Obviously the crab would be the most popular item here as they spread the paper out on the table and give you a hammer to get cracking! I had the crab dip soft pretzel as an appetizer and the crab soup (16oz) for my meal and I was stuffed. We sat out on the heated patio (it's March), but I hear this place is amazing in great weather. Looking forward to returning soon when crabs are in season in Maryland (note, I'm told they still have crab when it's not in season).

The inside was not very up-to-date, but the closed-in porch was a fun atmosphere. (we were there in January, but I imagine they open up the porch for a beautiful view of the river in the summer.) The food was delicious and the seafood was perfectly cooked. Service was good and our server was friendly. All in all, I recommend it for some good seafood in an inviting atmosphere.

Had visitors from San Francisco and one of the places they wanted to visit was Cantler's for crabs. The oysters were delicious, the soft shell crab was a delight. Each order was cooked to perfection. My guest had a very enjoyable experience and are looking forward to returning to Cantler's on their next visit. Thank you to all for a great lunch!
