Great, casual waterfront location with a creative menu of seafood and "bar food" options. Be forewarned though: if the weather is nice the wait will be long - assuming you can even get into the parking lot! Crab soup is fantastic as are the shrimp tacos and their take on chicken and biscuits.
When I saw the huge crowd at The Point (a Friday during Lent no less), I was a bit hesitant to even ask for a table for 1. However, within 20 minutes of being seated, I was served a lemonade, cream of crab soup, and chicken and biscuits. I didn’t even finish my soup and my entree arrived. So, the service was phenomenal. The chicken and biscuits was a bit filling so I wasn’t able to finish every bite of my dessert. The parking is a bit of a pain, but due to the impeccable food and service, this restaurant is well worth the wait and the 5 stars.
Love this place!! In fact, one could argue that our local friends taking us here when we visited them as a contributing factor to us moving here! Definitely the word of mouth has grown and the lines can be intimidating in summer, weekends, nice evenings. Unfortunately, they don't do reservations. But, they are right on the water, are nice enough to be respectable for an evening out but not so fancy you feel you have to dress up at all, almost everyone has great views and you feel surrounded by the river, have plenty of parking (either for your car or arriving by boat!), friendly staff, and most importantly the food is great and plentiful. Really great happy hour specials from 3PM-6PM with $2-3 beers and a great selection of half price appetizers. I almost hate to rep them because it will just add to the lines, but these guys are great.
Excellent service and food. Try the mussels appetizer. I don't usually like mussels, but they were delicious. My wife and I go here often and it's always terrific.
Pictured is our leftovers, just couldn't eat it all! Food is great, atmosphere is great. Service was also great. Recommend fried pickles and crab cakes. Our group also enjoyed the fish tacos -one had cod and one had shrimp. Both said they were great. We also saw a bald eagle across the river. We want to come back when they have lobster stuffed with crab imperial on the menu again!
