I love the food, we haven't tried the cream of crab yet. My fiancee just said to me he would like to have some cream of crab soup so I said I will look it up to see who has the best. So the reviews for Roy's shows good reviews so we will stop by to try it. I love the many selections of food on their menu. They have a big selection of appetizers for you to choose. I am a big crabcake lover, I am picky about crab cakes they must be all meat. I don't like when restaurants charge alot of money for a crabcake and then use fillers. I wasn't aware that Roy's did that. I see some reviews on their site said they do. I think if you pay money and it is a big amount for something you should get the real deal, and not something added. So thanks to everyone for their reviews so I know who has the best.
Lots of locals suggested this place for crab cakes. Took my family there and ordered one crab cake platter, one crab cake sandwich and two cheeseburgers. All sides (even fries) are all charged separately. Maybe that’s why I walked out spending well over $50 for a family of two adults and two children. Back to the food. Crab cakes were good, a lot of lump and just a bit of filler to keep it together. Cheeseburger was huge so my little one couldn’t finish it by herself. I would return here for lunch just for myself so I didn’t break the bank each time. I’d like to try cream of crab soup next.
This place is a gem of Glen Burnie. It's a local restaurant with a proud atmosphere, great prices, and a killer cream of crab soup. If it wasn't mostly used for picking up orders, I would recommend that they put up some tables for a dine-in option.
Service was fast and friendly, I was in and out with my food in less than 10 minutes. Crabcake was delightful, mostly meat with minimal filler. Was also pleased to see Smith Island cake on the counter so I snatched up a slice of it for dessert. Would go again in a heartbeat.
