Poblano Mexican Grill

Very fast service. The food is way better than what is served at most Mexican restaurants even in downtown Baltimore. The only problem was the torta wasn’t properly packed thus causing the stuffing to fall off. Would definitely recommend

Honestly, based on others' reviews, we were expecting more. Food was just OK, nothing to rave about. Service did not meet expectations.

Ordered online for pickup - 3 items: veggie nachos grande, shrimp 2 taco platter, & steak taco shell.

Food was ready for pickup at promised time & not cold. Restaurant was not busy @ 6 PM - no indoor diners, one person leaving when I arrived, no one else there when I was, one person entered before I pulled off the parking lot.

All 3 items we ordered include hot or mild salsa - nowhere online to specify which. Requested 'mild salsa on the side, please' under Special Instructions' for 2 items, but we didn't get any salsa on the side.

The menu advertises 3 different freebies, depending on purchase amount (2 for $10 purchase, 1 for $20 purchase) & 1 BOGO offer. We spent ~$30, but didn't get offered any extras.

I realize anyplace can have an 'off' day, so I'll probably give it another try, but I won't be in any hurry to go back.

Bottom line: OK (not great) food, service not up to expectations. Plenty of other places within easy driving & price range, desperate for business during the Pandemic.

12/8/2020 - We usually do Taco Tuesday carry out at El Agave, but wanted to try Poblano, and WOW! The taco platter and the fajitas were hot and delicious! Portions are large and the chicken was moist - not dried out. There is some seating inside, but with the pandemic we ate in our car. A shout-out to the two ladies behind the counter - very nice and worked quickly to get our meals ready. This is our new favorite Mexican grill!!!

The food was fresh, the portions were generous and the service was extremely friendly. We ordered a variety of items. The Burrito wrap/bowl were good. The steak could use some seasoning. In the quesadilla it tasted bland and the white sauce (ranch?) that came with it also didn't have much flavor. I look forward to trying the chicken/fish options soon.

My wife and I came for the first time to this location. We ordered the shrimp burrito and the steak nacho grande. It was amazing and food was bursting with flavor. Staff was very nice; professional.. The restaurant was also clean and orderly. I recommend this restaurant to anyone. And my wife and I will return here soon.. God Willing!
