Pizza John's

Amazing place to grab something to eat. They have a wide variety of items to puck from on the menu. I went there for the first time the other night and loved it. I will recommend this place to my friends and will definitely be coming back.

The food is great and the counter service is reminiscent of the diners of the 60s. My party was not happy with the table server in our area. We noticed how she went to every, literally every table in our area to speak and offer a bit of extra service, but ours. In doing so, she had to pass our table at least 20 times. We served ourselves.
We got our own plates and utensils. The restaurant was not very crowded, but our section was full, so we tried to be understanding. Even after we finished our meal and sat for a while, nothing. We finally asked the lady for a box and why she seemed to purposely ignore us. She said that it looked like we had all that we needed. Although we are an African American couple, I don't want to feel that this incident was about race. Again, the food was great, but I don't go where I don't feel welcomed. I would hope that others get equal service. I will go elsewhere.

Pizza John's on Back River Neck Rd in Essex is our east side Gem. A Diamond for sure! Pizza....second to none! Shells with meat sauce & meatballs....Wow! Want a think chocolate shake? Try one of their best. Shrimp platter with fries and peas? You'll love it. Plenty of tables for all family sizes. Extremely busy on Friday/Saturday. It's well worth the wait.

I use to work there when I was sixteen, the food was great then and it's great now! There's lots of space for any size party. The prices are good, the customer service is amazing. I didn't have to wait long to place my order, nor did I wait long to receive my order. Pizza John's will always be my number one dine in or eat out place to go!

At 5:30 on a Friday evening the parking lot was getting full and the restaurant was quickly filling up.
By 6:30 people were waiting for tables. Always a good sign for how good the food is. And Pizza John's is one of the best. We had a large cheese pizza, a large pepperoni pizza, an order of garlic bread and beers all around. Can't beat it, Delicious!
