By The Docks Seafood Restaurant

All brunches are not created equal. So my bf and I went to By the Docks Sunday for their bottomless brunch. I am writing this review because I feel like all the reviews I read before coming here were very misleading. I am giving it 3 stars because there was ample parking, the service was friendly and their brunch is reasonably priced.

The reason i didnt give more stars was based on the cleanliness, and the food. Initially when we walked in we had high hopes because not only did they have good reviews but the place was packed. When we got to our table tho there was an obvious soiled spot on the table and the person that sat us clearly saw it and walked away with no intention of getting a clean cloth. So we grabbed a young man that was walking by. Also I noticed splashes of old food on the walls, they could do with a good scrub down.

The food..... was terrible. We must have come after a large crowd or something because the food was not fresh at all. The shrimp cocktail had the texture of something that had been over cooked and frozen and then thawed out. The Pancakes looked absolutely sad and my boyfriend said the french toast left a lot to be desired.

The only thing I recommend from brunch is the bottomless mimosas.

We wont be back which kinda sucks because the staff there was very pleasant and friendly.

My favorite local restaurant... Perfect for a special night, birthday or if you want a solid meal. In my opinion the best crab cakes in the area!!! Prices are a bit higher but this is a case where you get what you pay for.. if you want something other than seafood there are plenty of options.

Had a birthday brunch there for a family member on Sunday. They were very very busy. The staff was very attentive and our waitress was quick and friendly. The bread pudding was my favorite--would go back just for that. I only wish it wasn't so loud.

Went here for Sunday Brunch. The waitress was terrific. She was attentive and speedy, which can be challenging with a group as large as ours. The buffet was large and had a lot of variety. The french toast was delicious, as was the bread pudding. The only real downside was how loud the dining room was.

There was a bit of a wait. However it was well worth it!!
Environment: clean, well spaced tables. The utensils were without residue or spots. There weren't any issues that would cause you to lose your appetite.
Service: Their staff was respectful, courteous and helpful.
Food: The portion size was enough to share. *side note* my husband and i ended up taking some of our meal home. The meals came out quickly. They were prepared to perfection. I forgot to mention that Their crab cakes were HUGE!!! This isn't an over exaggeration. Its literally enough of 2 people!! I highly recommend this establishment!
