Tropical Smoothie Cafe

I ordered the sunrise sunset smoothie (strawberry, pineapple, mango, and orange juice)...which was good, more of a natural taste than sweet...enjoyed. I was surprised to see that they also sell sandwiches, wraps, quesadillas, and bowls. I was also surprised by the wait for smoothies, with not many customers there. They have an app so you can order ahead. I saw 3 people come in to pick up food orders which were ready prior to arrival. But then they still had to wait a pretty good amount of time for their smoothies which were also ordered ahead. I get that the cafe doesn't want your smoothie to possibly melt. I ordered the detox island green smoothie and jerk chicken bowl. Price was $13.02. Somewhat expensive but the smoothie was large. The smoothie was good and not excessively sweet, most of the smoothies have added sugar and I'm not a fan of that but the menu said the detox island green smoothie was naturally sweetened. Smoothie was large in my opinion. The jerk chicken bowl was also pretty good, portion was a little small. It was sweet and spicy, maybe a little too sweet for me (P.S. I don't like sweet stuff besides fruit). I think it would be better with fresh pineapples instead of roasted pineapples. the bowl was more like a salad then a rice bowl. I'm rarely in Rosedale but I will stop by next time to try something else.

Fast and friendly service. With this being my first time here and I was very impressed! Smoothie was delicious. Definitely will be going back.
