Bar Louie - Foundry Row

Great location, good food but really need to clean up. Went there before for a farewell party with some co-workers and had a good time. This time, I did not even ordered food. The floor was sticky, the menus were sticky and some of the tables as well.

The service was great. The server Zack was really helpful. Always came to check on us. Food and drinks were really good. Definitely coming back.

I have lived in the area since Bar Louie opened and had not been there until about 9 months ago. Well, now me and husband frequent every week! We love it and I must say the main reason we frequent there is because of the manager, Cindy. She is so professional, friendly, accommodating, and such a hands-on manager. I have witnessed her interacting with both the staff and customers and am always impressed. Bar Louie needs more management and employees like Cindy!

I've visited about 10 times since the new location opened and overall it's a cool spot. One person that sticks out is Wayne. He was actually cooking during one of my visits and after waiting and walking around the bar for more than 20 minutes to find a table or group of table for my party to sit near each other, he saw my group, cleared and cleaned a large dirty table with no customers sitting there and took our order. He frequently checked on us AND assisted with food orders for everyone else in the kitchen. He double checked that he knew everything we wanted and our orders were perfect. You could tell he really cared to get it right the first time.

Honestly, you can tell most of the staff really do care about the people, but you can also tell there is disorder. I hope management sees this review and takes it to heart. When I consider reasons I might choose to go somewhere else on a particular day or night what comes to mind is "I wish they had a host to greet us and seat us" "I wish the tables were cleaned quicker" "I wish they had busboys to assist with clearing tables and refilling water when it's so busy" "I don't really want people to stare at me and not even say hello when I'm clearly having trouble finding a place to sit"

Just some simple consistent tweaks would seal the deal for me to become a regular especially now that there are newer opened bars within a half mile. I have options on places to go and I rather go where it's easy to simply walk in, sit down and be served. I don't even mind waiting a while to be seated IF I know I've been acknowledged and someone is working on clearing a table for my group. Maybe everyone doesn't feel the same way I do about it, but that's my take on it.
