Olive Branch

The food there is okay. To me it is not anything to rave over. I used to crave their crab pretzel, but they went way up on the price and down on the product. When they serve meals that have shrimp or crabmeat in them they are skimpy on the seafood and heavy in the grease and cheese. If you are going to charge me damn near 20 bucks for something because it has seafood then give me the damn seafood!

Yesterday was Valentines Day and I took my wife to a place that she and I hold special because we went there while dating and have continued after marrying. We went to the Olive Branch in Pikesville, MD and we both had what we love, their homemade Lasagna, a couple drinks and great conversation.

Since it was Valentines Day we thought it was going to be a long wait, but it wasn’t and again the food was excellent.

The waiter did a fine job and made sure see were taken care of and we didn’t have a long wait for our food. The Olive Branch is always a Five Star restaurant in my eyes. It’s our special place with great memories.

i would love to be able to give 4 stars but i have one major issue. i went to the Olive Branch last night with my girlfriend and my mother and as always the food was fantastic. great portions, very reasonable prices. that being said, our experience was definitely soured by some of the worst service from a waitress i have ever experienced. an example...she came by to tell us that our meals were coming shortly. i said that is great but i have not received my soup. she said that is what she meant. clearly not the case. when she brought the soup, instead of bringing it around to me she reached over the table for me to take it. our table was in the middle of the restaurant. she easily could have taken 3 extra steps and walked it over to me like she is supposed to. we asked for extra boxes for our take home portions. she really acted like we were putting her out, especially when she threw her head back and started shaking it. she treated my 82 year old mother like she was bothering her. so again. great food. but the service we received makes me wonder how quickly we will be going back.

The food was fresh and delicious. They have so much I wasn't able to finish my meal. The service was great. I would definitely visit again.

Worked with John, the new manager to organize a private party for some out-of-town guests (about 30 people). They set aside a private room for us, and the food quality was excellent; they provided a few options for the dinner menu (buffet style), and allowed me to customize the menu.
The service was pretty good. Our server worked very hard. However, the lone drawback is that they placed only one person to serve us, when they probably should have had at least two. my guests and I were waiting for quite some time before we got drinks. The desserts they offered appeared to be just some min-muffins that they bought from Target, and initially only provided enough for one per person. But they decided to bring out more when they realized that it would not be enough. Aside from these two slight issues, I still give them 5-stars for the quality in food and the extra miles that the staff went to ensure me and my guests had a great time. I would certainly recommend to look into Olive Branch for any private party event.
