Jake's NY Deli

Enjoyed the true Italian cold cut. Fast and pleasant service, definitely a hot lunch spot as they were very busy while we were there. Getting through the line was smooth, the staff kept the line organized and did not appear overwhelmed by the lunch time demand. Tables with more than 2 chairs were very limited

Chicken Cesar wrap was MIA after having to remind them that I ordered one after a long wait. After revealing that they had lost the original order they smashed one together in a hurry. They advertise as being a "NY" type / style deli, which is a loosely used term, for delis and pizzerias in and around town. Being a life long NY native (born & raised) I can tell you that my brief experience and observations of this establishment were far from a New York deli experience. The NY type kitchen chaos was evident however my meal was more of the typical Baltimore type sandwich...difficult to enjoy and easy to forget!

This place has the best crumb cake I have ever had in my life. Also a good assortment of coffee. The young college kids that work there are so nice, but the older staff can be really mean and snap at you. I know people who refuse to go there because of the staff being nasty. Service is really quick, which is good because it gets packed at the lunch hour. And, seriously, I cannot say enough good things about the crumb cake.
