Wide selection of menu items, something there for everyone. If you are visiting the area it is a good place to get some of the local flavors without doing full blown crab meals. I would say for lunch it can be a tad slow but considering it is a full service restaurant not super slow.
Everytime I come here their service has always been ????. We were celebrating my mom's Birthday and she loves it. She always get their crab cakes with a smile. Even though they were full that night it didn't stop the excellent timing of getting our food. Love this place and it is so family oriented. I would recommend this place to everyone.
Dinner was good! Started with Onion soup, steak and fried shrimp, side of mashed potatoes and mushrooms, and larger. The other dinner was a house salad, and blackened salmon, broccoli and mashed potatoes. Both dinners where very good. Mashed potatoes where real red skin potatoes. Steak was cooked to med rear. Definitely worth the $$.
Haven't been in years and the food was just as wonderful as I remember. Definitely had to get the famous crab pretzel! Melted in my mouth with the right mix of cheeses and lump crab meat. Steaks were both tender and cooked to perfection, along with the zucchini that was fresh and steamed just right. Keep up the great work kitchen staff and servers!
I am going to post something I don't normally do, and that is share both my experience and relate the story of my sister's experience. My experience has always been favorable at Silver Mining. Food for me has always been excellent, service good, and is clean. I am in a wheelchair and so is my sister. As far as accessibility goes, Silver Mining needs to improve a bit. Tables are a little hard to get to and it can be difficult to get around. Tables are a bit low for a wheelchair and tables tend to be close together which is not all that abnormal for such a restaurant. My sister went with her husband on one occasion, and after someone noticed that several people were seated before her, someone else said something about the fact my sister had arrived first. Whomever was seating at the time apparently made what my sister said was a very rude comment about having to make room for her wheelchair such that not only did my sister leave but so did another couple who heard the remark. Like I said, I never experienced anything like that, but it kept us from returning for quite some time. I don't know if that person still works there, but my own experiences has always been pleasant.
