Pappas Restaurant and Sports Bar

Fantastic, Delicious. Had the very large crab cake sandwich, it was the best crab cake I ever tasted. Very classy dining room the staff was above and beyond any that I ever had before. A class act restaurant. It's a gold mine. A must try experience.

My family and friends ate here last weekend and the food was great and service was as well! We are from the Eastern Shore of Maryland near Ocean City. We believe we have some of the best crab cakes around however we think Pappas are the best we have ever had! Thanks for the pleasant surprise. We will be sure to tell our friends about this place.

For those familiar with the area, Pappas moved in to the location formerly occupied by Patrick's. To my knowledge, there's no connection, nor do I know the circumstances of its closing. Pappas is divided down the middle into a Sports Bar on the right, and "fine dining" on the left. I've only been to the restaurant portion, twice, but have enjoyed it enough that I look forward to going again. I may well give a coveted 5-stars after a few more visits, but prefer to reserve those until I've frequented a restaurant more often. It has a more "upscale" feel, though I'm not aware of any enforced dress code. It's definitely worth checking out, and I plan to return several more times.

Went here for lunch. Had a great server, great food and had enough for a second meal. I ordered a lunch special of shrimp & scallops over pasta; the shrimp and scallops were large and plump. There was a generous amount of seafood and the sauce was very good. They have a nice wine selection. They lunch special came with soup or a salad, 2 sides and the main meal, for a good price.

Pappas is always pretty decent. Good quality seafood all around. Crab cakes and Crab imperial are MD style and excellent (broiled, very little filler, huge chunks of jumbo lump).

That said, it's pretty pricey. Like, 20-35 bucks per entree. I can't confidently say the food/service/atmosphere is good enough to justify that.
