Well-prepared food. Good choice for eating in or carry out.Their freshly made kale side salad is perfectly delicious with a scoop of white meat chicken salad. Nice variety of soups, salads, and sandwiches. Service was a little slow, but the staff is friendly. Free parking at Belvedere Market.
Famous for their soups (and chicken salad) Atwater's offers high-quality eats at very reasonable prices. The menu includes vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options, including salads and sandwiches (hot and cold). The bakery turns out some of the most delicious breads, served as a chunk alongside your soup or bagged loafs for carryout. Plus they bake their own cookies, pies, macaroons, and other sweets, all worth savoring. This location also offers jams, soups, sauces, and other signature specialties packaged to carry home--plus an outstanding coffee bar and an artisan ice cream vendor. Try the ice cream sandwiches made with Atwater's homemade cookies. You will be glad you did.
I like the friendly atmosphere. The menu is their own making. Not the everyday meals you get elsewhere. I like trying new things and so far have been happy with my choices. It is a small place and was usually packed when I was there. It might seem a bit pricey but the food is definitely worth it. Other places may be higher but not as good. It is not fancy and good for a quick bite or a good meal.
Atwater's is one of my favorite spots in the city. Great food, great coffee and great staff
Honestly the best bottomless cup of coffee in the area, the coffee program at Atwater's is one of the best in the area. Seasonal offerings will blow you away.
Soups are great and you will always leave satisfied.
We had paninis at the Italian deli in the back. They were good enough. The mozzarella was cold but I kinda liked it better that way anyway. Everything tasted very fresh. The cuts of meat looked good but my those prices!! My local supermarket in CA sells hanger steak for $8/lb, it was over twice that amount there! Better be good... I guess you also pay for the shopping experience?!
I like all the options and the atmosphere. Hard to find seating at lunch time tho.
