We arrived early to service so were the only ones in the restaurant. Great service and even better food. We'd been when the place first opened and thought the portions were small for the price. This visit was different and better. The prices are mid range and the portion size appropriate. Cocktails were also good. Well go again as there were several dishes we want to try.
It has the WOW factor. New to the area, happened in with very little knowledge in f the place and we were SO pleased. Wonderful, cozy atmosphere with beautiful background music. There service was wonderful, the food was spectacular. We had several appetizers and each was special...creative, delicious...we will be back. Quiet...great for conversation or a romantic dinner. We travel a lot and dine out often...Gnocco is special.
My son observed, "I've noticed that the nicer the restaurant, the shorter the menu." Brilliant observation- you won't see a Sysco truck unloading at this place, nor do they cede valuable kitchen space to a walk-in freezer. Everything is fresh and handmade, no mistaking. Warm ambiance, and welcoming staff. The entrance is through the bar area, but the separate dining room is isolated enough to be intimate. Expect to be tempted by the large selection of lovingly prepared and beautifully presented small plates. On our recent visit, there were only 2 "large" plates, for those who won't feel satisfied without a traditional entree. There were just 4 pasta dishes as well, each a small but perfectly crafted portion. Staff was quite happy to whip up a plain off-menu spaghetti for my daughter, but I was happy to find she still enjoyed handmade, fresh pasta. Really great place for a special occasion (we visited on my birthday) but I'm going to look for an excuse to visit for a happy hour beverage or two, noshing on a couple of the small plates.
The atmosphere is fantastic. The service is attentive but not intrusive, nor rushed. The food was delicious, and looked as good as it tasted. We'll be back to try the menu items we didn't order this time.
Small place, but fantastic food and service! Had apple ravioli with short rib as an entree and crispy stuffed olives, burrata, and pork belly appetizers. I thought everything was great. It was half priced bottles of wines when I stopped in on a Wednesday. Would definitely return.
