This place is pretty good. I had the chicken kabob. Not really sure how the chicken gets that reddish tinge, but tasted right. Also, the green condiment was kind of insipid, need to revisit how you're making and storing this. It's like tzatziki in a Greek restaurant, needs to be good and plentiful.

Priced at 1.4 Chipotle Burritos, an Afghan Kabob meal is totally worth much more than that -- best lunch spot in the area.

I'm back with a very thorough review of Afghan Kabob. I have actually been working on this one for a few weeks. The food there is very high quality for the price. The lamb and steak kabobs are seasoned just right and are nice and tender too! The rice has a great flavor also. I have never been a fan of hummus but theirs is very tasty and it pairs nicely with their naan bread. I wasn't a fan of their chicken shawarma because it was pretty bland. Maybe they could add their seasoned French fries in there to give it a flavor boost. The lamb gyro was decent. (Pro Tip) They will give you a discount if you work for Johns Hopkins! I'm really glad they took over that whack Urban BBQ. It's definitely the best place in the area up get your halal food fix!

I decided to give the restaurant a try and I wasn’t disappointed. I’ll start with the pictured menu displaying all the wonderful dishes. To be honest it made it hard to choose because everything on the menu looked appetizing. I decided to go with the chicken, lamb, curry chickpeas and rice. The lamb and chicken was tender and flavorful, and the chickpeas was amazing. I will have to taste more items on the menu for a 5 star rating. Look forward to returning soon.
