Food was top notch and I got, like, 4 pounds of it for about $8.
Gordon’s Jamaican Food has one of the most flavorful Caribbean meals in Lexington Market and Baltimore City. This mini restaurant stand is planted within the East side of the market. I tried their savory jerk chicken with rice and beans. And it was just right. The chicken was well done, moist, and thoroughly simmered within. The rice was cooked just right to compliment the chicken; the kidney bean was not overcooked but just right to maintain it’s texture. Gordon’s is quite generous. Their portion sizes are very reasonable and very affordable. See, I have enjoyed Caribbean meals and I have had great meals over the years. I will certainly rate Gordon’s at 5 stars for their tasty and flavorful food. However, I was quite disappointed with the customer service rendered by one of his staff. One of the young ladies appear to be quite annoyed to be working. She would not even look at you or even appear to want to answer questions when asked. She even walked away from a customer in the middle of a conversation. I know this mini restaurant is located within Lexington Market, but I think customer service is essential to keep a business running. I hope she was just having a bad day and not always like this. Anyway, this place is worth it despite the little hiccup in their customer service.
