Great meal and lovely setting. Didn’t feel like we were in Baltimore. Drinks were interesting to say the least. If you’re open minded this is a great experience.
It is not often I give a 5 star review, but I can say without a doubt that this was THE best dinner that I've had in Baltimore thus far. The service, food, drinks, and atmosphere were top notch. Most bars and restaurants in Baltimore start to blend into one another - same kind of food, same look and feel, so Alma Cocina Latina was a breath of fresh air. Highly recommend and cannot wait to go back.
We recommend the combination of the pork loin and the cauliflower entrees .. wholly and delightfully delicious .. and the most unusual "coconut cake" was not bad either. Alma Cocina Latina should be on the rocketing up and at 'em list if you're looking for something different and special just a few blocks right down east off of Fells Point ..!
Don’t let the location in a shopping center fool you- this restaurant is truly a unicorn in the Baltimore restaurant scene. I go fairly often because the food doesn’t just taste amazing- it’s so gorgeously presented as well (and I live in the neighborhood too- but plenty of parking there for those who don’t!) Chef is always refreshing the menu seasonally and the cocktail program is top notch. Meat eaters and vegetarians alike will be able to find something equally tasty here. Well worth a visit!
Super wonderful staff for allergies.
I have a significant number of severe food allergies and dietary restrictions, but really wanted to be able to go to dinner with a group of friends. The wonderful staff at Alma made me feel incredibly welcome, rather than a burden, and went above and beyond to make something I could eat. When I got my food (arepas with chicken, steak, egg and avocado) it was delicious and completely safe for me to eat. It’s incredibly rare to find a restaurant this willing to make people with severe allergies feel welcomed, and that can still serve something delicious within the dietary limitations on a busy Saturday night. (PS- the drinks are amazing as well!)
Thank you so much Alma!
