I came here for restaurant week and had a great time. It's a small place, perfect for intimate dining experiences. The food was delicious. I had the lamb burger and I couldn't get enough of it. I can see why it's a popular place for brunch. Plus, it's BYOB which is fun.
Nice menu choices, and the dishes we had (bronzini, braised lamb shank, lamb burger) were well prepared. BYOB with $5 corkage fee. Front dining room very informal and can get loud, but rear dining room is very pleasant. Informed and pleasant wait staff. Fells Point parking can be an issue.
I reserved a table at Twist for Thanksgiving. The service sucked and the food was dry and not tasty. My daughter ordered a crab cake dinner and the crab cake was mushy and moist so she sent it back and ordered what I had. I got the fresh linguine with shrimp. When it first came out it was okay because it was still warm. After a few minutes the little bit of sauce was gone/absorbed and the shrimp were rubbery. When my daughter's second plate came out she ordered a side of garlic mashed potatoes. The waiter's thumb was in it and he never took it back. He placed the food on the table and used his rag to wipe the access potatoes from his thumb.
I decided not to tip because I was too irritated. Our food came to $75.10. My credit card statement on 12/11 stated that I tipped $15. I, immediately, called and spoke with the manager who rectified the situation by refunding my $15 and gift certificates for me and my children to come and dine there again on the house.
Because of the manager's professionalism, candor and sincerest apologies, I gave 3 stars.
Absolutely fantastic. I had the Dark chocolate blueberry pancakes breakfast (why hasn't anyone ever done this before) potatoes and fried eggs with veggies. The food was great. Service was been attentive and the location was great. I suggest this place for sure
Chesapeake Eggs Benedict was delicious and plate was perfectly portioned. Just the right amount of hash browns for breakfast and the little fruit salad was perfect. Place had a steady flow of people on a Saturday morning so service was a tad slow but really nice atmosphere. Love the water bottle on the table for refills. Nice touch.
