It's okay, but not for the wait time, quality or the cost of the meal. It's a very touristy spot. The servers are friendly...
but..Don't expect convenient parking at the restaurant.
There is an option to dine al fresco.
Whatever the food lacks in taste is compensated by its presentation.
Why pay dinner prices for breakfast food? Also, to sell the idea of a southern twist is not entirely accurate, it's definitely hype (native of SC) . I had a crab/seafood omelet and a breakfast cocktail. It was not memorable but cost more than $40.
There is a breakfast buffet across the way at the Rusty Scupper for $45/head. At least get second helpings, panoramic view of the harbor and have live music if you are okay with expensive breakfast.
Very good food. Be prepared to spend some money though. With a tip, I dropped $60.00 for breakfast for two. I have had just as good for half the price elsewhere. This place does offer some unique dishes that you will not find anywhere else. Good coffee. Our waitress was observant and kept our drinks filled, but not overly friendly or enthusiastic.
So tasty, had chicken with waffles. Great place for my 2 1/2 year old grandson. We read a book offered to us by the hostess entitled Woodpecker Wants a Waffle, a Baltimore-set children's book that has a waitress/Hun. I ordered a copy for us to have. Our server was wonderful!
We stopped here before exploring Baltimore harbor and the food was delicious. The service was prompt and helpful. We ordered the chicken and waffles, fried green tomatoes appetizer and the avocado toast. I would definitely recommend this restaurant!
Delicious food (I tried the soft shell crab sandwich with fried green tomatoes and pimento cheese, side of grits... So good!). Service was top notch. Sarah was fantastic, plus a manager stopped by a few times to check in on me (it was pretty busy). Delicious drink menu with fruity options perfect for breakfast food, for a very reasonable ~$8 (especially when you consider it's in peak 'tourist tax' part of town). Photo is the bourbon peach strawberry lemonade. Yum!
Highly recommend!
