Unfortunately times change & I think its primarily due to COVID-19. Smaller menu missing a lot of the tater tot menu items that made this place unique. Staff is friendly & food is good portioned.
I'm from Pgh and Pgh can't hold a candle to the Ale House.
My favorite are the grilled Old Bay flavored Wings and Crabby Tots.😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😍
The best wings I’ve ever had. The Old Bay wings were otherworldly. The Everything Ahi Tuna Bites were another bright spot.
Great food, service was excellent. Started with crab dip that was very good, creamy, crab plentiful, served hot with great bread and some water crackers. The Angus burger very moist and flavorful, cooked perfectly, and loaded tots on the side. Everything was delicious.
They’re doing god’s work in the kitchen of this little corner neighborhood gem just a short walk away from the tourist madness of Fell’s Point. Welcoming and gracious service (thank you Miss Bella!), a draft list heavy on local breweries, and comfortable seating all set you up for the big win: a tiny kitchen that does a small but wonderful menu, where mass produced ingredients are frowned upon. House made killers like amazing jerk seasoning and fresh roasted turkey breast that has been beautifully seasoned are just the beginning. They’ve been open since 2005 for a reason - they’re damned good!!
