Don't sleep on Butch's! It's a small nondescript corner shop near Aldi, but it's worth the trip! Everything I've had at Butch's is amazing. Their burgers are super flavorful and the fries are delicious. They don't skimp on portions for any part of a meal, and everyone who works there is so friendly. I finally tried to Sunday Meal Special and WOW! I got the ribs with collard greens and candied yams and I'm thoroughly wow'ed by every part of the meal. I wish I had thought to take a picture, but it was all just too good and I dug right in. Seriously, everything about Butch's is a great experience: the staff, the heater in the waiting area on cold days, and the FOOD. Go now.

I was looking for good breakfast food in highlandtown and Butch's Bistro popped up. With a 4.5 star average I was immediately enticed. When I arrived I was warmly greeted by one of the owners. There were no tables but there were chairs to wait in for your food. He invited me to take a seat and peruse the extensive menu. Though I was originally looking for breakfast I ended up choosing the cajun chicken specialty sub and chili cheese fries.

The gentlemen behind the counter spoke with me for a few minutes while my food was being prepared. The food was ready after about ten minutes, which I know some may say is too long, but fresh food SHOULD take a little bit to cook. This isn't McDonald's.

The food itself was honestly divine. The half sub was 6 inches. It was bursting with ingredients and sauce. There was definitely no shortage of chicken, which itself, was tender and cut to a perfect size. No tendon or fat to awkwardly spit out. The Cajun sauce was robust and spicy. Delicious. The chili cheese fries were also fantastic. It was immediately obvious the fries were hand cut and the chili was house made. The chili was meaty and tangy which was perfectly balanced with the salted and peppered fries. The cheese was also fully melted. I wish I had taken a pic for this review because the fries looked perfect like the picture on a menu.

Overall I give Butch's Bistro a 5/5. The price is right. The food is good. And honestly highlandtown needs better restaurants. This may be the best restaurant in the neighborhood ever since Dipasqualies moved to Canton.

I lefts tell review but it was so good I had to put it on google too. Butch's Bistro never disappoints me. The lighting in the photo doesn't do the fries any justice but the food is ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! I can tell the food is authentic and the staff takes their time preparing the food. I've also had their Shrimp Alfredo and Shrimp quesadilla. 10/10 highly recommended!!! and they always have good music playing.
