Cindy Lou's Fish House

The food was good. Loved the ginger carrot soup. The lemonade was definitely that lemon shaped squeeze bottle stuff even though I was told it was taking so long because it was being made fresh. The steak was meh.. not a $42 steak, probably should serve vegetables with it instead of a pound of French fries. Service was great! Almost annoyingly great. Only reason I wouldn't come back is because the price doesn't match the food quality. But that's to be expected for the area. Sounds like a complaint but it's really not.

The food was delicious. I ordered the shrimp salad blt and it was tasty. Not too much mayo and the bread was toasted perfectly. He got the chicken fried steak which are short ribs, a winner! We ordered sausage gravy to go for the next day. It didn't reheat well in the microwave. Maybe should have used the oven? It was okay but I'd eat it there next time. And the drinks were well crafted.

This restaurant is great in a cool location! I really enjoyed my food. I got the duck and it was some of the best I've had in the city. I did find for a fish restaurant it did not have that many fish or seafood options. The drinks were tasty as well, but there were no sweet options which is my preference. The main dining area is really cool and there's a nice fireplace. Unfortunately, we were seated in the hotel lobby, which was nice but not quite the same. I am excited to try this place again, hopefully in the warm weather when I can sit outside by the water.
