A wonderful new addition to Baltimore's restaurant scene. A great reclaimed space with oodles of history. Very good food elevated above the standard bar fare with a few nice surprises hidden in the menu such as tempura fried cheese curds. An oven roasted calamari was also a great find. A few quibbles...price was a bit high and the fries advertised as tripple cooked Belgium style weren't. But they're off to a great start so check them out before it's the new hot spot and you'll never get in.
I finally got a chance to stop by for lunch today and enjoyed a great meal. I tried the buffalo wontons and the brisket pizza - both were delicious but I only got through a couple slices since I polished off all of the appetizer. Will recommend and definitely be back.
Oysters three ways: raw, charred and an oyster stout. I know the restaurant is great for oysters when they offer horseradish. The charred oysters COULD NOT BE BETTER. Attentive but not "in your face" staff. Gorgeous restaurant. Significant addition to the Baltimore dining scene.
Ordered 12 pies while at Monument and they ALL turned out great! They even delivered them for us to the brewery and refused our tip that they thought was too generous. All pies were very tasty but especially enjoyed the pepperoni with the three cheeses. My wife is not a 'pizza person' and ate 3 slices! The space is nice with TVs and a bar if you need a break from the brewery scene.
