Atmosphere, service and food were wonderful! Came on a friends suggestion and while a bit of a drive, totally worth it! Parking lot is entirely too small for the number of tables so plan to have to park and walk a few blocks during busy hours.

Had two appetizers; focaccia bread and oil (overpriced and felt bread should be gratis 🤷🏻‍♀️) and mozzarella, which was amazingly delicious!
I had the mushroom pizza which had a fantastic creamy texture and flavor with a lovely drizzle of balsamic. My friend ordered the crab gnocchi but was inadvertently brought the lobster pasta special, which she just kept enjoyed but was surprised at price tag at end of meal for the dish 💰.
For dessert 🍮 she had the vanilla crème brûle and I had the espresso crème brûle which was delicious but a little soggy - like it had been pre - refrigerated after caramelizing. Cappuccinos and wine 🍷 were great and pleased with the wine list options! Will definitely try this place again but may hold it for more “special” occasion type due to price and atmosphere. Great new place and recommend a try!

Great service and food. The portions are not overwhelming, they're more like European portions (so just enough to consume in one sitting). I've enjoyed my meal the three times so far that I've gone. Try the pizzas, pasta, or seafood. So try almost anything and you'll have a good experience. As a wine bar, they are doing it right, picking a good selection of red, rose, and white. Service at the bar is quick, so doable for drinks and appetizers or a full meal.

Baia Coastal Italian Kitchen in Chesapeake Beach offers an excellent opportunity to experience authentic Italian cuisine close to home! From fresh made pasta, to masterfully crafted sauces and creams, Baia nails it with savory offerings. We made reservations for "date night " and we were so pleased. The cocktails are inspired and the appetizers are generous. We had the Amalfi Crush which had fresh orange and Mandarinetto liqueur that added a nice twist to normal beach crush. We then moved on to their evening special, Lobster Bisque. This was a great choice as we had already decided we would be sampling Baia's fresh pasta with Maine lobster as our main. So pleased with both dishes and the ample supply of lobster in each. Our fresh pasta was cooked al dente and coated with a delicious lobster cream sauce. In addition to these dishes, we enjoyed the mozzarella fritte appetizer and the mortadella pizza. Both I highly recommend. Come down to the beach to Baia. You will be very pleased!!!

Food, service, and atmosphere was perfect. Had drinks at the bar before being seated- try the Limonata it was great! Our server was very attentive and other staff also came to our table to ensure we had everything we needed. We will be back!!! It was truly a good experience.
Pictured - rocket salad and last call.

Very tasty fresh Italian food - we’ve been super excited about Baia opening!

Lots of room inside and outside. We sat on the ground patio, but there is also a bar deck area and a rooftop patio section. Very clean, lots of employees so service was super quick.

The tastiest dish was the calamari. Lots of other fresh ingredients lightly fried with the calamari - comes with two sauces that are both so delicious. The burrata bruschetta appetizer was also top notch.

The entrees were a bit small for the price. Definitely plan on ordering some sides. We ordered broccoli rabe and the frites but unfortunately they didn’t come at the same time as our entrees so we just went with the frites - I think our server may have forgotten them as it took them a while to come out after we asked about their status (at the end of our entrees), but it was a soft opening so no biggie. The frites were a tad soggy.

For entree I got the squid ink pasta (homemade pasta, yum) which was amazing with the huge lumps of crab and chili oil. Very interesting fusion dish, nice spice from the chili oil.

Only thing that would have been great with the Italian food is if we were offered fresh cracked pepper or freshly grated cheese at the table - that would be perfect. If your dish comes with parmigiana, ask for extra.

Views of the water are fantastic, and overall great time. Can’t wait to go back and try everything else.

Edit: parking is really bad. All the employees and their cars need to park elsewhere.
