Backfin Blues Bar & Grill

Found this place on a whim and decided to try it. The food is incredible. You can tell the staff takes great pride in producing a quality product. All food was hot and tasted amazing. One word of caution: we made reservations and I'm glad we did (Saturday night) but do not come here if you're in a hurry. From our seating to finish without dessert took 1 1/2 hours. Not a criticism because I felt the quality was well worth the wait, but someone in a hurry might get frustrated by it.

They think they're more than just another restaurant in a Podunk town. The prices are big town the food is ok. The wait staff could use some training. They really need to kick that other restaurant out next door, move the kitchen and create an actual dining room. it's a single slot divided in half with a cramped few tables squeezed around the kitchen. At least it's in the one block of town that's not a ghetto.

I haven't been able to visit since moving, however I fondly recall this being my favorite place to eat in Maryland. Exceptionally well done, unique options for any time of the day. Staff are outgoing, and the experience is very homely. Highly recommended.

The whole experience was great. The waitress was friendly and efficient. The chef came out and talked with us and offered to make special dishes. The food was exceptional. Can't wait to go back

Since my first date 6 years ago with my now wife, Chef Bob has made this the go to for our anniversaries and valentines days. Consistently solid. Every table is the chefs table in this cozy gem. If not for some crazy food safety rules I'd hug the chef on the way out every time.
