Texas Ribs & BBQ

I grew up eating TX bbq so I may be a bit more picky than most. The service was great, but the place seemed a bit dirty. There were chunks of meat and sauce on my menu when I opened it up. My wife's utensils were dirty. I ordered a sliced bbq brisket plate with collards and mashed potatoes. The sides were great. The brisket was fairly tender and not dry but it lacked depth of flavor. A good rub or even more (some) smoke on it would have gone a long way to make this a 4 star experience (no noticeable smoke ring on the brisket). The price was reasonable for what I got. The Hershey Ice Cream is worth stopping for just for itself.

I wanted dry rub babyback ribs. They do not have them. The server said that they are boiled and not smoked. I decided to share a full rack of pork ribs(spare ribs) with my husband. Wrong choice. They were fatty and i didn't like the flavor. I ended up just eating potatoe salad, beans and slaw. They are all homemade and very good. The server was very nice and attentive.

Great barbecue at a reasonable price. I stopped in while passing through for their baby back ribs. Fantastic dinner with a courteous staff. Menu is full of tasty items for anyone that is hungry for solid barbecue. Highly recommend this restaurant to anyone passing through visiting.

True born and raised Texan here. Tried the sampler with brisket, ribs and chicken. Although it was decent, not the best nor the worst. I would absolutely without a doubt NOT call this Texas BBQ. Very disappointed did not taste very much smoke flavor and no hint of pecan wood at all. True Texas BBQ is smoked with pecan. The only reason I'm giving it 3 stars is because of the beans. They were better than the meat. Everything else was just eh. Nothing to write home about.

I love this place. They have great food and the people are nice. I do recommended place to eat at the very good thank you. ????☺️????
