This was our first time here and absolutely will return. The food was well prepared, seasoned and presented very well. The taste matched the presentation. Mark did an exceptional job with his service even though the kitchen was closed before my wife could substitute her side item. If I had to come up with any critique it would be a better mixed old fashioned.
Nice cozy and elegant. I thought I would beat the Valentine's day rush by going out the night before. Boy was I wrong. The restaurant was packed. Wall to wall. We ask the host how long the wait would be and he advised us do to the capacity it would be 30-45 minutes. Rather than spend a night driving around looking for accommodations I decided to spend some time talking with my Wife. We were called within 5-10 minutes. We were seated, server was very patient even though they were so packed. However with their being wall to wall people Everything was perfect. Side note, I had the lamp chops. They were cooked to perfection ???????? but I would have to recommend they get rid of the Chipotle sauce that comes with the dish. It does nothing to compliment the dish. It's almost flavorless. The chop were a treat in its self. Don't take it from a guy that eats out 3 times a week. Try it for yourself. It was worth every penny!
Was a busy Saturday night.. we got seated fairly quick but the bar was packed. I ordered the chicken topped with crab imperial and the chicken was sort of dry. Service was good though.
High-end fresh seafood and steaks. Berry cream cake is super. Crab cakes are baseball sized, lump w/little to no filler. We go here from Time to time for a little upscale flavor.
Mark provided excellent service until we finished dinner. It oddly took 25 minutes to get the check, very strange. Hush puppies were hot and delicious. Meals were correct - cornflake crusted chicken, salmon, and crab cake were completely consumed. Sides were well-prepared (asparagus, gruyere mac-n-cheese, black & tan onion rings, and coleslaw) . Restaurant decor is beautiful but women's restroom needs a bit of attention- dead bugs in the overhead light, handle to one of the two stalls didn't work and floor could use a good sweeping. I'd still recommend the restaurant and am assuming they're just short-staffed today.
