Very mixed reviews.

I wanted to love it. The reviews seemed great so we were all in.

Sadly I can’t say that I love it.
First impression: the food looks good
Taste: like bland hospital food.

We got different meals for the family. Mine personally was supposed to be pork chops with gravy. We didn’t get gravy. Everything needs seasoning. EVERYTHING

The potato salad was mushy with no flavor as well.

the service was good so that’s a plus. Maybe we will give it a try again. But today unfortunately isn’t the greatest.

Returning customers … my husband and I were here in July and August 2023 and a few times after but we ordered again today and it was just as good today as it was before… the service was excellent. I think everyone will have good and bad to critique about this place but for us there are no complaints. If you want to know how the food is just try it! With an open mind and judge fairly. We are quick to discard small businesses such as this one and especially if it’s black owned but will rave about a restaurant that cost just as much and is not very good at all. Support and be positive because we have not had a bad experience yet! It was great food and great service definitely not disappointed.

2nd visit and it was good. I also had the best Italian ice I have ever had. Glad I found this place looking for some sides. Those were good as well which made me come back.

Came in 20 minutes before closing on a Friday. Ordered whiting platter with greens and sweet potatoes. Let me tell you something..... YESSSSSS!

The sweet lady working the counter informed the grill was already shut down, but they were able to make a whiting platter for me. God bless them for accommodating me because I'd just drove nearly an hour down to family in the area and couldn't bare the minimal local fast food and Carryout options.

It's a simple establishment with modest decor and two nice tvs to watch while waiting. They also have WiFi!Looked clean and smelled clean.

I thoroughly enjoyed the meal. Whiting was fresh and crispy. Greens and yams were delicious. Will be telling my family about the establishment & will undoubtedly be returning (likely tomorrow). I see they have Italian ice and that's a treat I want to come back for!

I'm so glad this place is in Southern Maryland. Service is excellent and the food is so good. The fried chicken is the star of the show! I also had the seafood platter which was good. Husband said the smothered turkey wings were good and we loved the sides. I had the cherry and Mango ice and omg it was so good! Just pull up and support this black owned business!
