Benny’s sub shop (La plata )

Best food. I have never had a bad meal from here. They even brought the food out to our car when we were waiting outside. Great service great people

I stumbled across Benny’s by way of good reviews while looking for a place to get good Chinese food. I’ve had food from other Chinese places in the area and was completely disappointed. Upon placing my order over the phone at Benny’s, Sammie was very nice and pleasant. Here I am leaving a post based on my experience. I would say that the food was great in which my family enjoyed and the staff is very nice and friendly.

Food is affordable, very minimal wait time, flavorful, hot and great portions! I will revisit! This was my family’s first try Singapore noodles they were absolutely amazing!

I tried this place for the first time. When I moved to Southern Maryland, I was told it was either a Hunan Star or Benny's for the best Chinese. I can safely say it is Benny's for me. I ordered the General Tso's Chicken, Shrimp Lo Mein, Shrimp Fried Rice, and an order of Crab Cheese Rangoons. The General Tso's Chicken was tasty. It's thick sticky red sauce was great and the rice and broccoli was decent. The Shrimp Lo Mein was great. The Lo Mein had a lot of flavor and there was a good amount of shrimp added. The Rangoons were very good as well. The cream cheese was sweet and that is my preferred filling vs the sour version some places use. Prices were reasonable for the food ordered as well.

Don't let the quaint location fool you. Best food I've had in quite awhile, let alone Chinese! I went with beef and broccoli and chicken lo mein - fantastic. I can't wait to come back to try the rest of the menu, which is very diverse. The staff (owners?) were very friendly and the food was ready quick. Will be back and highly recommend.
