Our first time to Hooper Islands. Not to mention the Old Salty Inc. Food was beyond exceptional and wait staff was absolutely wonderful. Crab cake the wife got was so good(she let me try a taste) that it left me jealous. My soft crab was delicious. Heck even the fries were tasty. The Maryland crab soup was outstanding with a nice assortment of lump chunks of meat covering and I mean covering the whole bowl. The cream of crab was tasty. I think the base needs a tweak of flavor but hey I’m no expert. Will most definitely be returning here sometime soon again!
The service is helpful and friendly. The food is perfect every time we go. Old Salty's is one of our most favorite seafood places to eat.
Hands down the best seafood I have ever had! Worth the scenic drive. The crab soup was out of this world. The broiled seafood platter was more than generous. The table next to us had the prime rib, it was the largest slab of meat I have seen on a plate.
This establishment is worth the drive. There are sights and views to enjoy and the food is magnificent. Cooked with exceptional flavoring. I will definitely go again really soon. In addition, it was a pleasure to meet the owner who came and offered personal attention to different customers making sure you feel at home.
My wife and I had an early dinner this evening here. Our ambience was very nice and quiet, with peaceful views. Our server Justine did a superb job. The food was very tasty.
Unfortunately, our meal was finished at home as a family party of 2 adults and 4 young children moved in to a table near us. The banging on the table began to happen as mom is looking at her phone and taking the orders for the kids. The obnoxious behavior of the children was un acceptable.
Management is stuck in a tough position...
My suggestion is to politely find a way to tell the table to control their children or no service.
I hope their chicken fingers paid better then my scallops topped with crab imperial.
