Came for our 10th anniversary while staying at the Hyatt. Food is much better and more reasonably priced than the resort (as you'd expect). Best fried green tomatoes and shrimp and grits we've ever had. Cocktails were great as well!
Stopped in while visiting from Delaware. They have a nice location and a quaint setup inside. The staff was very friendly. I really wanted to like this place but the food just wasn't great. We had the prime rib, the blackened fish, fried pickles, and a cocktail. Nothing was cooked poorly, there just wasn't much flavor to anything. Even the sides were relatively tasteless. The one exception was the pickles which were excellent. Maybe it was just an off night. Hopefully that's the case, because it seems like it should be a great little hometown restaurant.
I had fish and chips for lunch - the fish was mushy and bland, but the batter was good. The fries were good, and I appreciated the arugula on the side, but it was really overdressed and overseasoned - that poor arugula! My dining companion had a crab cake and didn't like it - she's a stickler for lump crab meat, which this crab cake obviously was not. The cocktail we ordered was just okay. I'm not a local to Cambridge, so maybe this is a pretty good spot in the area, but I'm not sure I'd be back.
