Went here for the first time and it was amazing. The hot dog variety is great and all the different options are interesting. Had a hot dog Chicago style, that was interesting and also very delicious. Will definitely be back again in the near future.
Best Chicago dogs I've out outside of Chicago. Well worth the trip!
Off the beaten path for sure, but well worth finding. Not only is the view of Carrol Creek a nice setting for a meal, this eatery offers great food. I came in for the italian beef dipped, but will soon return to try some of the Polish dogs. The manager is very interactive, high energy, and personable.
I tried this place in the summer of 2018 and enjoyed it then. Today, I knew I wanted to eat something delicious so we visited again and I love this place! The Chicago dog is so flavorful (I take off the peppers) and we tried chili cheese fries today which were also great.
The vibe is very low key and relaxing. The location next to the creek makes for great people watching.
The employees are very friendly as well. I'm a loyalty member after today!

This place is excellent. Really enjoyed the Italian beef, sliced ultra thin and bursting with flavor. The hot peppers got a great burn without punching you in the mouth.
Ordered three items: Windy City red hot, Italian sausage and Italian combo.
WCRH - good dog (wished it had more snap) toppings are great. Pickle and relish are cold and salty, tomato had excellent flavor and the bun was the perfect vessel.
Italian sausage - loaded with flavor. Onions and hot peppers were a perfect touch.
Italian combo - the bread was able to hold up. The beef was super tender. The sausage paired very well.
Whenever I’m on Fredrick, I’ll be back.
