Clay Oven Restaurant

Very good Indian food at very reasonable prices. I love their all you can eat lunch buffets. I’m surprised I’ve never seen I crowded there.

I grew up in England, where Indian food was something we are frequently, and we struggled to find a good Indian restaurant in Frederick. Clay Oven is it. Delicious food, and plenty spicy, not bland as at other restaurants we've tried.

The service is genuine and prompt, without being overbearing. Takeout is delivered hot, and they will deliver a long way, although the fee is pretty high.

Overall, a great choice for Indian food in Frederick.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Frederick. The food is mouth watering delicious and the service is even better. My mom was cold when we were in the restaurant and the owner and his wife brought her a heater. And every time we asked for more onions, chutney, or pickle, they brought it over immediately with a smile. For the meat eaters out there, the kebabs and tandoori chicken are AMAZING! Always hot and fresh. You may go into this area with lower expectations because it's not located downtown Frederick, but the location is deceiving, and it truly is one of a kind. Ajay and his wife are very sweet and make us want to keep coming back. Highly recommend!

I love the food here. Very nice people too. They weren't open for dining-in yet, I didn't know until I walked up to the door. They saw me looking at the hours on the door, and let me in to do my carry out order. Great customer service.

Absolutely love this restaurant. I've never had a bad meal here and the owner is really great. Definitely would recommend checking out their buffet if you're new to Indian food - or order the butter chicken. You really can't go wrong. I've dined in and ordered takeout through their app and both have been great and very successful. Highly recommend!
