I like the course and the club house is pretty good. The problem with this place as someone who lives in Montgomery County is that the greens fees are too high. It is about 60 miles and an hour drive to get there, and there are way too many other options that are closer and less expensive. I know that this course(and others in the area) try to draw in all of the golfers around the DMV but when a round costs about 100 dollars and you spend 2 hours in the car + half a tank of gas and my entire day...it makes the whole proposition a non starter. If the rates were more in line with the public courses located around MoCo we would play more often. As it stands, none of us want to spend the day in the car, a bunch of gasoline, only to play at a marginally better course and spend twice as much on a green fee. The land costs out there cannot be anywhere near as much as they are around MoCo....so the question is...why?
Chris in pro shop was very helpful during frost delay on Saturday morning he kepted everyone informed and on time good man to have on your staff please pass along
The prices were pretty high for a non-member. I have gone to cheaper places for that kind of service as well. The staff was friendly and they did explain why everything was so high. Overall., good course if you have the money to spend for a good amount of time.
Challenging yet fun layouts. Green and fairway conditions are superb. It's definitely worth a drive for anyone in the area.
Numerous elevation changes, tight fairway landing areas and approach shots, this is a non-walkable course. The course is usually in great shape however you will notice a lot of ball marks are not repaired on the greens. Fairways are pristine and the rough is manageable. Staff is friendly, however, in my past 2 outings the was no beverage cart; not to say they don't have that service, it's just that the employee wasn't running that service which is a little shocking. Overall, fa little high for a non-member off the street (~$90).
