The twilight fee is outstanding. The staff is polite and accommodating. The views are wonderful. No two holes are remotely alike. The fairways are pretty wide and forgiving, but the course requires accurate approach shots.
Very nice course. I would give it 5/5 however there are a lot of bugs buzzing around the greens that takeaway from the enjoyment of finishing your putt. If you’re waiting for your playing partner, you want to get off the greens to stop the harassment.
Im hoping by reading the review the management can address this issue.
A bit of a trek to get there, but still enjoyed my round.
We had my sons wedding rehearsal dinner here, I could not be happier with everything! We had a fun, beautiful evening at PB Dye. Kelsey and her staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the food was outstanding! Thank you PB Dye!
When I played here recently I was definitely impressed with the updates they have and are continuing to make. Tough track with some huge slopes on their greens. Lots of blind tee shots as well which can slow down play at times. Just drive up if you're in a cart. Simple solution. Practice area hasn't changed much but they added a learning/fitting studio on the far side of the range. Looks very nice and is being updated currently. Putting green was looking terrible to be honest and the chipping green wasn't much better. But the greens on the course were much faster and smoother. Staff is always friendly here.
Here is a list of updates as I was able to see:
Hole 2: Took out a bunch of trees on the left side which opens up the shot. Trees on the right remain to protect the right side of the green.
Hole 4: They finally took out the silly pond on the right side of the green. The drop off on the left and behind the green along with the giant slope in the middle of the green protect the hole enough in my opinion.
Hole 8: Still a long par 3 but they are redoing the middle tee boxes that get the most play.
Hole 13: I could be wrong but I think the water comes much more into play on 13. I feel like they dug out more dirt to make it a more prominent feature. The water that protects the downhill par 3 (#11) stretches behind and to the left of the green on the 13th hole. It's a beautiful approach shot now.
Hole 14: The water continues here a lot more than before but isn't really in play. It makes the hole look a little more intimidating and beautiful as well.
Hole 16: They are filling in the wasteland on the right with sod so the tee shot isn't nearly as intimidating. They also took out a bunch of trees that used to protect the left side of the green. The approach shot is a lot more open. It seems less intimidating but it's still a tough shot to the green as anything short is no good.
Love all of these updates and I hope more improvements are on the way.
